Import Test Plans from Jira

We're working on a Jira import feature that will allow you to bring your existing user stories and requirements from Jira into TestChimp's test planning system.

Planned Features​

  • Import user stories: Bring Jira issues into TestChimp as user stories
  • Preserve hierarchy: Maintain epic/story relationships
  • Map custom fields: Configure how Jira fields map to TestChimp attributes
  • Selective import: Choose which projects or sprints to import
  • Link back to Jira: Maintain references to original Jira issues

Current Alternatives​

While we build the import feature, you can:

  1. Create stories manually: Use TestChimp's AI-assisted authoring to recreate stories
  2. Copy content: Copy story descriptions from Jira and paste into TestChimp
  3. Start fresh: Use TestChimp's file-first approach for new test planning
